Love Beyond Compare

You began your wonders long before I could comprehend. It was all for me—a love beyond compare.

How could this be true when it’s so unlike typical human behavior? I know I’ve hurt you and that I hate most.

You kindly whisper gentle words, and then my soul you captivate.

I can’t imagine why you would do this.

Could it be that there’s something of value within me? Could it be that that something is you? You are the only one who can make this rusty chain renewed.

Love itself humbled down, but then by humans crumbled.

You began your masterpiece of love long ago. You’re the best lover ever known.

There is no one like you.

Only you create life from dust. Only you make whole the ones whose hearts have been crushed.

I don’t dare to ask why you want me where I am.

Could it be that there’s something of value within me? Could it be that that something is you? You are the only one who can make this rusty chain shine once more.

Love itself humbled down to human despair.

For you are God, and I’m here your servant, wishing for your Will to be done.

Forever and Ever.
